Ellipse is an Italian caffe bistro bar, located on the sea front opposite the new pier & outer harbour in West Bay, with a spectacular panoramic view of the sea through glass walls, arcing around from the east cliff to the south cliff. We also look directly into the harbour and on to the harbour entrance.

Sun sets here are usually spectacular, with the sun setting over Lyme bay in front of us, flooding the interior with golden light. No other building in West Bay has such truly spectacular views.

Internally you will find a relaxing, comfortable and contemporary modern design, where we have created an interior that mirrors the exterior environment, a blend of concrete, steel and wood.

A mixture of low soft seating, dining tables and chairs and high tables with bar stools provides a range of seating options, all with a view of the sea.

Mix this all together with a relaxed environment, the best coffee and hot chocolate you can imagine, authentic Italian cooking, a great selection of wines, beers and spirits and you truly have a place to feed your soul.

We love dogs and welcome the well behaved ones inside during the day, where they are welcome to chill out and enjoy a tasty scooby snack, however we don't want them to outstay their welcome so we ask that they leave by 6pm, hopefully they will understand.

Naughty dogs will have their welcome revoked and will be asked to leave
